剧情简介：
　　故事发生在洛杉矶 一名年轻女子的尸体在一家日本大商社的办公楼里被发现。为了查明她的身份和死因 洛杉矶警察局派出富有经验的警察立案侦查。在克服重重困难 使真相大白于天下之后 凶犯也被绳之以法。但这是一个异常艰难的过程。头号凶嫌是负责主办此案的老警察的朋友 无论警方做什么 总是有一股强大的力量在与之作对：证据被盗 有关人士被杀后尸体难以辨认 甚至连身居高位的参议员也被勒索...虽然本片被指责有反日情绪 但仍是1993年夏季美国电影票房十大座片之一。
